What hangover? Zach Galifianakis has ditched the booze and is pretty much ripped

From Khloe Kardashian, who used her turbulent divorce to Lamar Odom as motivation to stop turning to unhealthy foods to the barely recognisable Mama June, who managed to drop almost 150kg in a year, it’s official: these A-listers have endured a whole range of workout routines, diets and, for some, even surgery to became their healthiest, happiest selves yet.

And sure, while we all know Zach Galifianakis for his hilarious portrayal of Alan Garner from The Hangover movies, this 47-year-old father-of-one is now cutting a figure you’d barely even recognise.

Rocking up for the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards in Hollywood yesterday, Zach, who was nominated for the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award for his work in Baskets, it was hard not to recognise the comedian’s dramatic weightloss.

This isn’t the first time Zach’s new look has caught the attention of Hollywood, with the actor once even telling talkshow host Conan O’Brien that his weightloss is all down to quitting drinking and enjoying long walks.

“I stopped drinking and I just kind of put the weight off,” he told Conan in 2014.

Adele’s trainer Pete Geracimo has revealed the workout the 15-time Grammy award-winner swears by. “A challenging circuit of body squats, lunges, push-ups, pull-ups, dips, chin-ups and plank work will stress every body part and give you a great overall workout,” he told The Daily Mail.
