It was supposed to be the great Australian tour but under strict doctor’s orders, Pink has been forced to cancel a third Sydney show from her Beautiful Trauma world tour.
On Tuesday morning, the 38-year-old’s promoter confirmed Pink’s show at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney had been cancelled.
It comes amid a tough week of health issues for the star.
On Sunday, Pink was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney with a gastric virus and was discharged.
However she was readmitted on Monday afternoon after falling sick again.
As a result, Pink had to pull the pin on Monday’s show with very little notice announcing the news to fans at 4:30pm that afternoon.
“Pink was admitted to hospital in Sydney on Sunday night, suffering from dehydration. She was treated and discharged. She was readmitted to hospital today and diagnosed with a gastric virus,” the official statement explained.
According to her promoter Live Nation, her health will be reassessed today and further details will be provided about the rescheduled performances.
While the mother-of-two has been inundated with get well messages, many fans have taken to social media to vent their frustration at making arrangements for the event.
“I get that @Pink is sick but how are they allowed to cancel a show half an hour before doors open. We have family friends with us and it was her daughters first concert and now we are both hysterically crying and through my tears I’m trying to cheer up a heartbroken 5 year old,” one mother wrote.
“@Pink why cancel the concert this late we are half way down to Sydney,” another wrote.
“I’m all for her getting better considering she is sick but it’s ridiculous that you can cancel a concert with the door scheduled to open right now! Surely you knew she wasn’t well. Already on the train on the way out there.”
However many fans were understanding of the situation.
“Not even mad that @Pink postponed Sydney show… health needs to come first… not worth the gamble when you have a family to think of…”
“Wishing @Pink a speedy recovery. Rest, relax and rejuvenate and whenever you’re ready Sydney will be waiting with open arms. #Pink #BeautifulTrauma.”
Last week Pink hit back at criticism after a local publication ran photos of the star at on the beach at Byron Bay with her family on the day she cancelled a concert.
“You can think whatever you want, it’s your right, but I have never taken advantage of any one in my entire life. I have never f—-d off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play. I have never phoned in a single tour, I have an impeccable record for not cancelling,” Pink said on Instagram.
“I mother with everything I have whilst handling all the rest. The snark in this is unbelievable and makes me long for a nicer world. I’m doing the absolute best I can, and you can believe it or not. As I said, I’m sorry to the real fans who this situation has affected. Onwards and upwards.”
