Beyoncé can do no wrong, but her latest appearance on Good Morning America has caused some pretty heated backlash.

The promotion promised that “Beyoncé has something amazing she wants you to know,” with a clip of the Grammy winner telling the camera: “This is something I have to share with everyone…”

So imagine the sighs across the globe when the highly-anticipated interview was just a chance for Queen Bey to tell us that she’s now a vegan.

In the segment the pop icon endorsed veganism: “I am not naturally the thinnest woman and I have struggled since a young age with diets,” the mother-of-one mused.

“Finding something that actually works for me and actually keep – keeps the weight off has been difficult for me,” the 33-year-old added.

The interview teaser that aired on Sunday evening left fans reeling, as they were lead to believe the superstar was about to make a huge announcement.

Ahead of the appearance fans speculated that the Crazy In Love singer was about to drop a new album or was perhaps expecting another baby with Jay-Z – needless to say they were dramatically disappointed.

As expected the twitterverse erupted with funny, furious and frantic comments about Beyoncé’s new-found love of the meat-less, egg-less and diary-less diet.

“Beyoncé’s GMA announcement honestly has to be the most unspectacular, anti-climactic, random and trollish announcement in pop culture history,” one tweet read.

Another fan wrote: “Still mad that I woke up early and subjected myself to @GMA just to hear Beyoncé say she doesn’t enjoy life anymore. #vegan.”

Although Bey coped some criticism, no doubt she’ll bounce back, after all she’s pretty much the Queen of the world.
