In a candid new interview with People Magazine, the Modern Family beauty has revealed the true extent of her body image struggles.
Last year Ariel, (pictured above before and after her surgery ) underwent breast reduction surgery going from a 32F to a 34D. And while she says she’s thrilled with the results, the road to happiness was long and hard.

“Being a 5-ft-tall girl and having extremely large breasts is really ostracizing and excruciatingly painful,” she explained to People.
The struggle didn’t end there, even dressing for an event became a nightmare thanks to her larger bust.
“But I didn’t really express how I felt about that. I’d just be wearing something anyone else could wear, but I’d read comments saying, ‘She dresses inappropriately.’”
However Ariel insists she won’t be going under the knife again.
“I think it will be the only [cosmetic surgery] I’ll have done, but I’m extremely happy with the decision I made,” she explained to the publication.
“It was an instant weight lifted off my chest – both literally and figuratively.”
Ariel had another enormous boost of independence last May when she became legally emancipated from her parents following years of conflict.
“I have a great support system now,” she said of older sister Shanelle Gray, who was her legal guardian before she turned 18.
