Dubbed Australia’s version of The Academy Awards, the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTAs) celebrate the best in Aussie TV and film.
Despite the ominous Sydney sky, stars like Erin Holland, Ksenija Lukich and Edwina Bartholomew lit up the red carpet in their dazzling dresses at The Star on Wednesday afternoon.
All eyes were on The Bachelorette Australia‘s Sophie Monk, who walked the red carpet in an edgy corset top with a tulle skirt sans her boyfriend Stu Laundy.
Stephen Curry, Ewen Leslie, Sunny Pawar and Osamah Sami will battle it out in the Best Lead Actor category, while Emma Booth, Teresa Palmer, Helana Sawires and Sara West are up for the Best Lead Actress gong.
On the small screen, Australian Survivor, Little Big Shots, MasterChef Australia and My Kitchen Rules have been nominated for Best Reality Series.
In the coveted Best Drama Series Cleverman, Glitch, Janet King – Playing Advantage, Top of the Lake: China Girl, and Wentworth have all scored a nod.
