Duchess Catherine
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in Belgium recently for the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele, and while the couple looked very smart indeed with Kate dressed in a white Alexander McQueen ensemble, royal spotters were quick to realise that we’d in fact seen this look before. That’s right, despite a different headpiece, the mother-of-two had repeated the outfit worn for daughter Charlotte’s Christening in 2015.
July 3: While cheering on the stars of Wimbledon, Kate wore a gorgeous polka dot dress that gave us a serious case of deja vu. Upon digging through the archives, the reason was clear – because it was a strikingly similar to the dress Princess Diana wore around the same time of year to the Royal Ascot Races in 1988.
June 20: The Duchess of Cambridge attended Royal Ascot 2017 wearing a stunning white lace, in a dress designed by Alexander McQueen – although it was a bespoke version as naturally the hemline was lengthened. It was very similar to the dress Kate wore to Ascot in 2016. So much so royal fans wondered if she was doing one her famous fashion repeats.
June 17: The annual Trooping The Colour was another chance for us all to see Charlotte and Kate on the balcony of Buckingham Palace – this time in matching in pink. The Duchess opted for another creation by favourite designer Alexander McQueen which she teamed with a matching hat by Jane Taylor and a pair of drop diamond earrings belonging to the Queen. This vibrant colour was considered to be a display of joy by Catherine, considering the terrible tragedies London had faced in the lead up to this event.
May 20: Sister Pippa’s wedding to James Matthews saw the whole family get out their Sunday best, and Kate was no different, looking flawless as always in a blush pink Alexander McQueen dress with matching fascinator.
