From Martha and Jack’s barnyard blaze to Tash and Robbie’s seaside soiree, there’s nothing like the thrill of seeing another Summer Bay couple tie the knot.

But more than anything else, there’s something in particular us fashion-fanatics can’t wait to ogle at every time a new set of nuptials rolls around – the wedding dresses.

Over the years, we’ve seen some real corkers.

From Leah’s early 00’s tulle extravaganza of a dress, to Indi’s heavenly satin creation worn like the bare-footed hippy princess she was born to be.

Let’s go back to this iconic moment in the 2000’s when Kate Ritchie was still gracing our screens on the reg and Flynn was basically the sweetest character in existence. What a time it was.

And while a runaway horse definitely made the day a little more dramatic than one might have hoped, good old Sally made it through in this square-neck creation that screamed 00s fashion. And what’s a little bit of grub on the dress when you’re marrying the man of your dreams?

Meanwhile, Tash was clearly determined to prove she was every bit the free-spirited hippy her character so iconically was. We’ll just stare at this bare-footed goodness while we try to forget about that wild Mumma Rose cult story line…

Literally looking like she chucked random bits of black tulle at her dress is so Belle. We’d be looking that devo if we realised that was our wedding day outfit too…

Now a seasoned pro at weddings, Sally’s satin strappy gown with sprinklings of gold was actually very pretty. Go girl!

Ricky had somewhat of a turbulent time leading up to her nuptials with mcdreamy doctor Nate, but she made up for it in this simple halter-neck gown. Summer Bay babe if we ever saw one!

Ah, who could forget Martha and Jack’s wedding-turned fire-fest? While her white strapless gown was actually very chic at the time, the iconic 00s quiff is a style we’d like to leave in the archives.

Along with her gorgeous lace dress, we can’t not talk about wheelchair-bound Angel rising to her feet when she walked down the aisle to meet Shane. A golden moment.

Remember that time Leah’s kid VJ suddenly appeared on-screen as a fully developed male? Well, he made sure to prove he was all-grown up when he not only married his teenage-crush Billie, but also fathered her child. Got to love a maternity wedding gown!

Ah Leah. An OG that served up memorable looks time and time again. Her wedding to Vinnie in the early 00s was a true display of puffy-meringue inspired glory. What a dress.

Indi and Romeo’s outdoor nuptials were a true display of their free-spirited nature – and we’re kind of obsessed with Indi’s dress.

Seriously, how gorgeous is the back detailing!

Noah and Hayley’s nuptials delivered the goods, not least for the bride’s side fringe up-do that makes us wonder what hairdressers were thinking in the early 2000s.

We applaud April’s bravery for tackling antique white on her big day, but Dex’s John Smith à la Pocahontas get-up is something we’d like to politely wipe from our memories.

In what might be our favourite of the lot, Ziggy’s dreamy lilac number complete with a lace bodice and layers of floaty tulle sort of made up for their disastrous relationship.

Even her earrings were stunning!

Pity Brody couldn’t pull himself together in the end – they were such a cute couple!
