Sarah Ferguson, AKA the Duchess of York, has long been known for her vibrant, bubbly persona.
And that encapsulates both her personality and style, might we add – there’s no denying the royal mum, who was previously married to Prince Andrew, has made heads turn for many, many… many a reason over the years.
Of course, the recent global pandemic has certainly put everyone out of sorts – so one mightn’t have been thinking about what the topical Duchess Fergie was up to.
And to save you the research, we thought we’d let you know exactly what that is, because boy is it a spectacle to behold.
Fergie, now aged 60, started a fun YouTube channel in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Dedicated to reading children’s stories as a sweet gesture to children across the world as they remain in various forms of isolation, the channel provides a happy, entertaining reprieve as the Duchess reads iconic childhood books.
She’s even brought along some very special guests – famed presenter Stephen Fry, British actor Graham Seed, even Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas are among the stars who’ve made an appearance reading their own tales on the channel.
Fergie’s two daughters, Princess Eugenie, 30, and Princess Beatrice, 31, have also shown their support for the initiative, with the pair making multiple appearances in the clips.
But of course, it’s the hostess with the most-ess (actually, though) who we can’t get enough of – and that’s because the one and only Fergie brings everything to the screen – her outfits are case in point.
Keep scrolling as we relive Sarah’s best and whackiest outfit choices as she spins yarns-a-plenty from lockdown.
Green
In her first look of the series, Sarah opted for one of her favourite colours – green. Adding a bright flower crown, the bright get-up was the sign of an outfit spectacle to come…
Unicorn
She’s a big fan of flower crowns, clearly. Fergie took a break from story time to show her following how to make “Monster Sandwiches” – with a unicorn twist, it seems!
Leopard coat
Sarah read The Tiger who came to Tea by Judith Kerr looking very much the part in this printed coat.
Peppa Pig
Why yes, an electric-blue top with cut-out shoulders is the perfect backdrop to dreading Peppa Pig’s Busy Day thanks very much.
Orange garden
Really getting into character here, Sarah read Each Peach Pear Plum by Allan and Janet Ahlberg in the perfect, fairytale-esque outfit… and setting.
Doll
Sarah read The Jelly That Wouldn’t Wobble by Angela Mitchell with some uncanny accessories. Does she look familiar at all…?
Scarf
As she read the tale Wibbly’s Garden by Mick Inkpen, Sarah rocked a multi-coloured scarf and flower crown to boot.
Fairy wings
Here’s an outfit for the ages. Sarah posted a tutorial on how to make fairy wings – and proved to be the ultimate model for them herself!
Shawl
Nothing like a nice cosy shawl to snuggle up with a good book in – Sarah had the right idea as she read The Ant and the Grasshopper by Miles Kelly.
Yellow
Reading Clip-Clop by Nicola Smee, the mother-of-two went bright and bold with an orange-yellow shirt.
Tartan
Another day, another flower crown for the red-headed Duchess – this time with a tartan twist. She reads Spot Says Please by Eric Hill.
Food
The children’s author mixed things up with some food art in June – making a bright blue statement with, yep you guess it, another flower crown.
