Crown Princess Mary has departed her home country Denmark for one of her first cross-country visits since the pandemic began.
And what a place she chose to go – Paris, if you were wondering – bringing us a little dose of wardrobe inspiration.
Princess Mary arrived in the French city this week for the Generation Equality Forum, where she attended the opening ceremony.
With gender equality as its focal point, Mary is a key guest at the forum in line with her involvement within UN Women.
Explaining more about the event, the Danish Palace explained on Instagram: “The international summit is arranged by France, Mexico and UN Women to mark the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration, which was adopted at the UN’s 4th World Conference on Women in 1995. Her Royal Highness is Honorary Advocate for Generation Equality Forum.”
For the event, Mary wore a beautiful outfit that perfectly captured the iconic chic of Parisian streets.
Her black dress with white polka dots featured a belted waist with gold buttons. She added pearl drop earrings to finish the look.
Mary’s uncanny knack for style has the undeniable hook of being eternally on-trend, which is why we decided it wouldn’t do us any harm in taking a little inspiration from her latest outfit.
While we might be in the throes of winter (and some of us, a loungewear-clad lockdown), there’s no reason why we can’t dream a little in the style department.
Spring and summer will come, and when it does our Mary-inspired wardrobes will be ready. Shop our favourite polka dot match ups below.
