Princess Charlene of Monaco is known for her fashion-forward displays, with a quiet, understated, yet sophisticated approach to all of her ensembles.
But her latest one might be her best fashion statement yet – and it helps that it marked one of the first times we’ve seen her since the world went into lockdown.
Stepping out in her home country Monaco, she and husband Prince Albert, who tested positive for COVID-19 back in March, stepped out in one of their first post-lockdown appearances.
There to open the newly renovated Place du Casino in Monte Carlo, the Prince and Princess were decked out very appropriately – wearing a simple summer dress with a chic white blazer, the Princess looked stylish as ever.
But it was their added face masks that really caught our eye.
Of course, face masks are a very normal (and practical) item for people the world over these days – but it was the way in which the face masks were worn that really stood out.
Firstly, you might notice the fancy crest on said face masks worn by both royals.
Indeed, they seem to have gone all out on their gear – as the print appears to be the Grimaldi family crest.
What’s more, ever the style chameleon, Charlene opted to accessorise her look with a pair of her signature sunglasses.
Looks like nothing will stop her from staying true to her style aesthetic!
Sharing a snap of herself and husband Albert from the day on Instagram, the Princess wrote: “We are strong together!” along with the hashtags, #strongtogether #pcmfsouthafrica.
Charlene’s fans flooded the comments section with heart emojis, as well as sharing their admiration for the couple.
“Wonderful couple,” wrote one.
“Happy to see Charlene again,” added another.
The outing is one of the first made by the royal couple since the pandemic first took hold of Europe.
Prince Albert of Monaco sent shockwaves through the royal community when he became one of the first in a regal family to test positive for the virus.
At the time, concerns for the Prince were heightened when it was revealed he was at an event with Prince Charles a week earlier while visiting London.
According to Royal Central, the pair shared a table alongside government representatives, community members and business leaders.
Shortly after, Prince Charles himself was diagnosed with the virus.
The pair both made a quick recovery – and it looks like they themselves are slowly returning to some normality again after lockdown.
