As if the glorious sight of seeing Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and their adorable children all in the same place together wasn’t enough, the ever-stylish royal mums have also provided us with another, rather fashionable gem of insight.
As they surprised royal watchers by attending the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day on July 10, Meghan and Kate’s animated display of friendship as they played with their children was a true sight to behold.
But there was another thing we couldn’t help but delight in when we first laid our eyes on the heavenly new set of pictures – their outfits.
Kate and Meghan are known fashion-aficionados – their outfits consistently fly off the shelves within minutes of them stepping out wearing certain pieces.
What’s more, the royals have made a solid name for themselves as trend-setters as opposed to being followers, and boy has their latest display given us some inspiration.
The two royal mums, who are both 37, wore variations of summer dresses that are not only chic, but perfect for the summer weather they’re experiencing.
While these hot-weather garments aren’t exactly the first thing us folk Down Under are reaching for at the moment as we experience the troughs of winter, there’s no denying the warm weather will be rolling around soon enough.
And you can bet on the fact we’ll be taking a leaf out of Meghan and Kate’s books when that time comes.
Where is Meghan’s khaki polo dress from?
Motherhood seriously looks good on Duchess Meghan, who embodied some major LA-street-casual vibes by wearing a gorgeous khaki dress by Lisa Marie Fernandez.
The linen dress featured a modest V-neck and billowy silhouette, the perfect option for a warm day.
Finishing her look with a pair of aviator-style sunglasses by Givenchy, Meghan was simply oozing with cool-girl glamour, and we’re here for it.
While Meghan’s look is undeniably perfect, it’s not exactly in the affordable price range.
That being said, the dress, which comes in at a cool AUD $815, definitely gives us plenty of inspiration when it comes to the upcoming summer’s key silhouettes and styles we’ll now be keeping our eyes peeled for.
And there are plenty of options already out there (which we’ve pointed out below – you can thank us later…) that look just as chic while remaining within budget!
Where is Kate Middleton’s pink polo dress from?
Kate brought a pop of colour to the sunny day in the UK, wearing a gorgeous pink patterned dress designed by L.K.Bennett.
The dress was divine on the fashion-forward royal, featuring short floaty sleeves and a midi-length hemline.
Kate accessorised the outfit with a bright red Mulberry bag and a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer-style sunglasses (which were particularly loved by Prince Louis!)
Like clockwork, the Duchess finished her look with her go-to-heels and the trendiest shoe of the season – wedge espadrilles designed by Castaner.
We’ll just be printing this picture out and pinning it smack-bang in the middle of our summer fashion mood-board.
Kate’s latest look is yet another in a slew of gorgeous summery outfits she’s worn in recent months – and her wedge heels are surprisingly affordable, coming in at AUD $170 online.
As for her gorgeous pink dress, the style itself isn’t available online, but it’s understood to cost around AUD $584.
If you’re feeling somewhat deflated at not being able to get your hands on either royal’s stunning summer looks (due to price and availability!), fear not.
There are plenty of similar styles out there that fall in the affordable price range, and they’re ready for you to nab at the click of a button.
