Julie Bishop has given her followers yet another reason to believe she is Australia’s honorary first lady of fashion.
After a strong kick-off for AfterPay Fashion Week Australia in another eye-catching navy blue dress, the former Foreign Affairs Minister one-upped herself with a standout bright orange dress with a bold leopard print.
And yes, she pulled it off to perfection.
Attending day three of the fashion-filled week, Julie shared several snaps from a particularly memorable runway show, which showcased First Nationals Fashion and Design.
Snapped with special guest Jessica Mauboy (who also looked chic in a camel-toned shirt-dress), Julie looked stunning in the skin-tight knee-length leopard print dress, featuring a high collar and iridescent texture.
Designed by couture and ready-to-wear label Meraki, based in Claremont, you couldn’t deny the former politician being the ultimate poster-woman for Australian fashion.
Sharing the images to her Instagram, Julie wrote: “Brilliant runway from First Nations Fashion and Design @first.nations.fashion.design @ausfashionweek.”
She then tagged each showcasing designer, including Grace Lillian Lee, Amber Days and Ngarru Miimi.
In the carousel of pics, Julie also shared a close up of her perfectly styled hair.
The 60s-style up-do featured a midi bun pinned effortlessly.
Her unique golden drop earrings were the cherry on top of a very glamorous cake.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Julie has wowed us with a striking dress.
The 64-year-old wore another leopard print dress back in May while attending a corporate lunch event.
At the time, it was a unique feat to see her in such a bold and brave print (and nailing it at that), but as Fashion Week continues in Sydney, it seems she’s well and truly earned her spots.
