“I’m sure I’ll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore,” she told United Airlines’ Rhapsody magazine recently.

“And that’s OK. I’ve done it. I’ve worked with all these incredible photographers. What else do I need to do? I can’t keep reinventing myself. I shouldn’t have to keep proving myself. I don’t want to,” she added of her incredible career, which has spanned over three decades.

From her enviable beauty spot, to her bombshell curves and voluminous hair – Cindy Crawford has not only become a fashion icon but a pop-culture phenomenon.

But, don’t be mark this the end of an era just yet. “Every year, I tell my kids I’m retiring. It’s a running joke in our family. And yet every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me,” she later clarified on Instagram.

“While it’s true that I’m eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family — I’m not making any final statements. I have loved being part of the fashion industry for the past 30 years — and if that time has taught me anything, it’s this: never say never.”

It’s one of the most simple yet captivating advertising formulas – beautiful woman, big hair, denim shorts and of course, a can of Pepsi. The twist came at the very end, with the two young kids instead remarking on the new style of the drink instead of Cindy. This 1992 ad, which was aired during the Super Bowl that year, will go down in the history books as one of the star’s most iconic moments.
