What is the plot of Feud: Capote vs. The Swans?
Truman Capote was an author who became friends with a group of aristocratic women (whom he nicknamed “the swans”) in 1950s New York, and he found himself invited to lavish dinner parties and on elaborate trips with the socialites.
But when excerpts of Capote’s novel Answered Prayers about the socialites’ scandals and intimate secrets were published in Esquire magazine, his friendships began falling apart.
According to the synopsis from FX, Feud sees Capote become “ingratiated” into the womens’ lives, “befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalisation of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets.”
Episode one of Feud picks up at the height of Capote’s literary success, and his gradual decline and falling out with the women is portrayed over the following episodes.

The cast list includes Tom Hollander as Truman Capote, and as for the swans, Naomi Watts portrays Barbara “Babe” Paley, Diane Lane stars as Slim Keith, Chloë Sevigny acts as C.Z. Guest, and Calista Flockhart portrays Lee Radziwill.
Also starring in the series is Demi Moore as Ann Woodward, Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson, Treat Williams as Bill Paley, Joe Mantello as Jack Dunphy, and Russell Tovey as John O’Shea.
