X Factor Australia judge Redfoo has escaped serious injury but has spoken out about being allegedly glassed in the face in a Sydney pub last night.
Watch his interview with Nine News above.
The international music star was partying with friends at the Gold Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay when he was attacked just after 12.30am.
Witnesses told Police that the 38-year-old pop singer was approached by a 21-year-old man, who allegedly threw a glass at him.
In Redfoo’s interview with press this morning he reveals that the alleged attacker also taunted him after being caught.
Redfoo said that after the 21-year-old man had been detained outside, he went out to have a look at him: “I wanted to look at him and understand what he looked like,” he said.
“He looked at me, and he blew me a kiss, and I was like ‘What?’ You know, I mean that was disturbing to me.”
The popular reality TV judge sustained a cut above his right eye and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
One of the patrons who witnessed the incident, Josh Allerton, took to Twitter: “Just saw @RedFoo get a bottle thrown at his head at the Golden Sheaf bleeding!Jesus Christ! What is wrong with people..Hope you’re okay mate”.
Redfoo responded: “Jealousy is a hell of a drug!”
Police say the attacker tried to flee the venue but was stopped by security guards and arrested.
He has since been charged with malicious wounding and is due to appear in court on September 24.
