Honey, this is the best news EVER.

Our prayers were answered when earlier this year NBC confirmed that a Will & Grace revival was officially on the cards.

Today, EW has confirmed that the network has upped its original order of new episodes from 10 to 12.

The key cast, including Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Lullally, will all be reprising their roles as Grace, Will, Jack and Karen respectively for the show’s ninth season.

The revival is being penned by the show’s original creators, Max Mutchnick and David Kohan. James Burrows will also resume his role as director and executive producer.

Discussions about commissioning another full season of the show began in September last year as the cast reunited for a 10-minute election-themed webisode.

“We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”

Will & Grace ran from 1998 to 2006 and was nominated for an impressive 83 Emmy Awards during that time.

Production for the revival began in March, though a release date has not been announced at this stage.

We can’t wait to see what the gang are up to in 2017!

Will & Grace isn’t the only retro show making a modern comeback of late. Last year’s Gilmore Girls revival was an incredibly successful move for streaming giant Netflix, who are currently in talks about more episodes of series.
