We’re in the final week of The Block with the auctions to air this Sunday. But after the show is all done and dusted, what will our favourite Blockheads be doing? We’re pretty sure we’ll be seeing them soon…
Sticks and Wombat
The boys are keen for more TV time
He’s provided plenty of laughs during his time on The Block. So it’s no surprise Wombat would love a role on TV.
“I enjoy the TV side of things and I’d like to do more,” the 38-year-old salesman tells TV WEEK.
“I would love to do something more laid-back, like driving around and hearing people’s stories.”
Meanwhile, carpenter Sticks, 31, hopes to focus on his passion for photography.
“I’d like a career change – I’m sort of over being a chippy,” he reveals. “It pays the bills at the moment, that’s why I’m doing it. I’d love to chase my photography dreams and get back in the ocean. I’ve missed it.”
Josh and Elyse
The young couple are straight onto their next project
They’ve only just finished renovating on the reality series, but Josh and Elyse are already planning another restoration.
“Elyse and I were looking for the next house before we came on The Block,” Josh, 28, reveals.
“So that’s the first thing we will do. I want to do stuff that is built to last, and just do cool stuff.”
Josh is also keen to launch his own renovation show.
“I’ve always loved the Backyard Blitz set-up,” he says.
The carpenter adds he and model girlfriend Elyse would love to return to TV.
“We’re keen to do a show,” he says. “Or work with sick kids or people in need.”
Hannah and Clint
The proud parents have missed their kids, Poppy and Finn
If there’s one team looking forward to hanging up their tool belts once and for all, it’s Hannah and Clint.
“I’m done,” former flight attendant Hannah declares.
She has no plans to return to The Block.
“I don’t think I’m prepared to leave the kids again,” the 31-year-old explains.
“We’ve done our dash. The experience was amazing. It was the hardest and most rewarding thing. But I just can’t leave my babies again.”
Ronnie and Georgia
Will it be back to The Block for this pair?
If handyman Ronnie has his way, this won’t be the last time we see him.
“I’ll really miss The Block,” Ronnie, 41, says. “I hope we get another call-up. I want to do All Stars!”
In fact, Ronnie would consider coming back next season, even if it wasn’t All Stars.
“We’ll have to bring the kids or bring a babysitter,” he says. “But it’s a no-brainer.”
Despite Ronnie’s enthusiasm, his wife, kids’ clothing designer Georgia, has her doubts.
“I’d love to do it, but there’s a part of me that’s not sure,” the 33-year-old says.
Jason and Sarah
There’s more work waiting at home for these busy parents
When they signed up for the show, Jason and Sarah were still renovating their own home.
Now, having picked up a few tricks of the trade, mum-of-three Sarah wants to get back to work.
“We’ve got a lot to do,” the 45-year-old says. “We’ve got our bathroom to do – it’s falling apart. Then it’s back to work and back to the grind.”
The couple also can’t wait to get home to their kids – Henry, 12, Oscar, 10, and Greta, seven.
“We’ve missed the kids more than anything,” Jason, 46, admits. “But they’ve had a ball while we’ve been away.”
