Well, the Logies are done and dusted for another year and once again TVโ€™s night of nights served up the kind of magic moments weโ€™ll be talking about forever.

Or at least till next year. From Samuel Johnsonโ€™s emotional triumph to Dave Hughes โ€™take no prisonersโ€™ monologue, these are the moments that mattered at the 59th annual TV WEEK Logie Awards.

1. Hughesy Brings The Hurt

Agreeing to open a show like the Logies is a seriously brave decision, but deciding to burn the biggest names in the business is even braver! Dave Hughes spared no one as he kicked the show off with a bang.

Grant Denyer, Karl Stefanovic and โ€“ somewhat bizarrely โ€“ Grant Hackett all copped a spray. But the moment that silenced the room was a joke aimed at Channel Seven CEO Tim Worner. Hey Hughesy, you said it, not us.

2. KAK lights up the Logies

Itโ€™s been a long time coming but Kerri-Anne Kennerley finally has her Logie Award. The 63 year old was inducted into the TV WEEK Hall of Fame and there wasnโ€™t a dry eye in the house as KAK took to the stage.

Touching on her incredible career and the support of her husband, John, KAK made us love her even more when she stopped mid-speech to get a glass of champagne. Itโ€™s thirsty work being a TV legend.

The television veteran was thrilled to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

3. The Return of Jacketgate

Amber Sherlock must be praying for the day that people forget about โ€œJacketgateโ€ but it doesnโ€™t seem to be on the horizon.

The Projectโ€™s Pete Helliar and actress Kat Stewart took to the stage in matching fuschia outfits then treated the audience to a recreation of the now infamous โ€œYou Need To Put A Jacket Onโ€ debacle.

4. Sam, Molly and All The Feelings

It was hard to not feel moved by Samuel Johnsonโ€™s success at the 59th TV WEEK Logie Awards. He paid tribute to his sister, Connie, after taking out the Best Actor gong and seemed genuinely lost for words when he was announced as the winner of the Gold Logie.

For a man who has had many ups and downs, it was genuinely touching. Then of course there was Molly! Proving he still knows how to steal a show better than anyone, Molly hijacked Samโ€™s Gold Logie speech, treating the audience to a colourful โ€“ and long โ€“ anecdote in true Molly style.

The Molly star said the award โ€œmeans the worldโ€ to him.

5. Casey Donovan and Jess Mauboy SLAY

The Logies has a long history of attracting some of the biggest names in music and last night was no different. Andy Grammer and James Blunt brought a little star power to the event but the performances that had everyone talking came from two of our very own.

Casey Donovanโ€™s haunting rendition of David Bowieโ€™s โ€œHeroesโ€ during the in memoriam segment was TV gold while Jess Mauboyโ€™s medley had the whole room dancing.

Casey received a standing ovation for her performance.
