The TV WEEK Gold Logie is awarded to the Best Personality on Australian television as voted by the public.
Over the years it has been awarded to a number of talented Australian presenters and actors.
In 2016, The Project host Waleed Aly was awarded the honour, delivering a moving speech addressing diversity in the Australian television industry.
In 2015, Waleed’s co-host Carrie Bickmore won the gong and used her time in the spotlight to launch her charity, Beanies for Brain Cancer, in honour of her late husband Greg Lange who passed away from the disease in 2010.
