Sylvia Jeffreys, 31, TODAY

When she’s not busy reading the news on breakfast show Today, Sylvia likes to get out and about. The bubbly TV journalist says exercise helps clear her head and prepare her for her hectic work schedule. “Exercise is a major feature of most of my days,” the popular presenter reveals. “Usually a run or Pilates session.”

Sophie Dillman, 25, Home and Away

Keeping fit and healthy is part and parcel of living in beautiful Summer Bay. Luckily for Sophie, she has an affinity for sports. “I’ve always been very active,” the stunning blonde, who stars as wild child Ziggy in the show, says. “I played a lot of sport when I was younger and I still do. It comes naturally to me.”

Tim Robards, 35 , The Bachelor S1

With his rugged good looks and ripped abs, it’s clear Tim loves a hard workout. But if you’re not one for the gym or long runs on the beach, Tim says just get up and move. “It’s important to increase the ‘active hours’ in your day,” Tim says. “These are hours that you aren’t working out, but where you’re basically moving and not on your bum.” Sounds simple enough to us!

Elyse Knowles, 24

Thanks to winning The Block last year with her partner Josh Barker, work came thick and fast for model Elyse Knowles.

While eating well is a basic rule for maintaining good health, the Bras N Things brand ambassador admits the rewards are just as important. “I eat healthy, but everyone has those times when you’re stressed out and all you want is chocolate – that’s definitely me,” she says. “But you can’t refuse it all the time, because you need to teach your body that it’s OK to have it. Then the next morning, go to the gym and burn it off or eat well. If you eat junk all day, your body will react to it.”

Sam Wood, 37, The Bachelor S3

Heading off on holiday with the family this summer? Don’t fear because personal trainer Sam is here!

If you’re trying to chisel a bulletproof beach bod, Sam says motivation is key.

“When it comes to exercise, do something you love,” he advises. “Mix it up, because that will make all the difference – and keep it short and sharp.”

Penny McNamee, 34, Home And Away

For most H&A actors, wearing swimmers on national TV is enough motivation to hit the gym. But for busy mum Penny, chasing two-year-old Jack is more exercise than she needs. “I spend most of my time running after my son, usually to stop him from running into traffic!” she says. “We play soccer and go swimming at the beach, so I’m constantly active. I also go running a few times a week and just watch what I eat at home.”

Laura Byrne, 30, The Bachelor S4

She found love with The Bachelor‘s Matty Johnson, but the handsome 30-year-old isn’t the only thing Laura’s mad for – she’s also into working up a sweat.”Exercise for me isn’t just about keeping in shape, it keeps me sane and makes me happy,” Laura explains. “Daily dog walks and the gym do the trick.”

Johanna Griggs, 44, Better Homes and Gardens, House Rules

As she gets older, popular TV presenter Johanna knows the importance of keeping fit and healthy. In fact, the former competitive swimmer – she won bronze at the 1990 Commonwealth Games – works out most days. “We’ve got a gym at home, so I tend to go on the treadmill and box,” she says. “We also have a bike and free weights, so that’s part of my routine.”

Jake Ryan, 34, Home And Away

His role as mystery man Robbo in H&A is physically demanding. But Jake says fitting in time to work out is always challenging. “You try to sneak in an hour or so to exercise where you can,” he says. “And you just take advantage of the days off and keep as active as you can.” Seems to be working!
