If watching the Travel Guides critics jetset around the world has ignited your wanderlust, we have good news – the Nine Network is looking for their next batch of travellers for their upcoming third season!
Successful applicants will join some returning favourites, including the bargain-hunting Fren family, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And you won’t need to spend a cent.
The casting call reveals the network is looking for people who aren’t afraid to live life to the fullest.
“[We’re looking for] people who love to travel, relish new experiences, express their opinions and enjoy having a laugh,” the statements reads.
In addition, potential travellers need to apply in a group of two to four people and be able to travel between July and October 2018.
You must also be Australian citizens or a permanent resident of Australia for at least two years.
Kids are welcome, too, as long as one member of the group is over 21.
Travel Guides follows the holidaymakers as they travel both domestically and internationally for the same trip.
And while some groups thrive in a swanky hotel, others are thrown out of their comfort-zone as soon as they step foot in accommodation rated over three stars. And vice-versa.
From the accommodation and cuisine to the local sights, the travel critics are then asked to rate their stay out of five.
With two seasons under their belt so far, the format is proving to be a hit.
“Forget TripAdvisor and hours of research on the internet,” Nine’s Head of Content Partnerships and Development, Adrian Swift, says.
“For the ultimate reviews on Australia’s and the world’s best destinations, our Travel Guides will tell you everything you need to know and a whole lot you don’t.
“They put the fun back into travel, and we’re proud to have the honest, outrageous, hilarious Travel Guides returning to Nine.”
