Sealโs quiet achiever, Rennie Adams says while The Voice is on heโs all work and no play. But the 32-year-old part-time labourer hopes that wonโt be the case forever.
โI obviously want to settle down and have kids and all that sort of thing but for now The Voice is taking my attention, I want to put everything into it,โ he says.
โIf it happens, it happens, but Iโm not out to find a wife right now โ Iโm focusing on the music and giving it a real crack. But yeah, I love kids and Iโve always wanted to be a dad. So one day for sure.
โI donโt have any nieces or nephews, my brother got married last year but he hasnโt had kids yet. But Iโve got cousins who have children. Weโre a pretty tight knit family with little ones running around.โ
Having recently undergone a mini-makeover in advance of the live shows, Rennie โ who is still gigging at local pubs on Sydneyโs Northern Beaches in between Voice commitments โ says his belief in his talent has soared since Seal took him under his wing.
โSeal told us that thereโs a difference between confidence and arrogance,โ he explains. โHe said you need to find that difference and back yourself, saying, โHey, I am good and unique and this is the way I do it.โโ
Certainly the way Rennie does it has grown his female fan base. So, when he is ready to put single life behind him, what kind of a girl is he looking for?
โSomeone laid back, whoโs friendly, enjoys socialising and has interest in what Iโm interested in with music,โ he says. โIโm not too picky. I just want someone I have that connection with, someone I like hanging around.โ
