“Are you fatter than me? Are you dumber than me?” The dramatic RHOM season four finale recap

This could change the series forever.

This has been by far the most dramatic season of the Real House Wives of Melbourne so far, and that’s really saying something for these ladies.

Season four saw the inclusion of former Harper’s Bazaar editor Sally Bloomfield and glamorous lawyer Venus Behbahani-Clark, and the cracks in the group started showing early on.

The boozy finale dinner locked in the two-sides of RHOM division, and it looks like there won’t be any coming back from the fractions of the women’s nastiest drama yet.

It’s war, and everyone has to pick a side.

The RHOM in all their glory.

On one side we have the BFFs Jackie and Janet, Gamble and Sally.

Before the dining drama took off, Gamble gave us a genuinely blessed gift by serenading her husband, Rick, as a second-anniversary present.

Gamble who suffered from hearing problems, sings for the first time in 20 years and does a (surprisingly) bloody fantastic job. Rick, who is sitting alone an Athenaeum Theatre watching the performance could not possibly look more impressed with his gift.

On the other side of the RHOM divide, we have Venus, Gina and Lydia.

There are some sub-par subplots on their side, so let’s skip past of them and move straight to the dramatic dinner, the real reason you’re all here.

The dinner, thrown initially to help the women “put their differences aside,” (SCOFF), became more of a roast, thanks to Lydia announcing she had something to say to all the other women.

Well, she is the hosting this dinner after all… maybe she has something nice to say?

Lydia starts her “speech” by addressing Janet, “the real diva of the girls — challenging, difficult.”

Janet is not pleased, nor is she the only one to get a serving of Lydia’s wrath.

Gamble, Janet and Sally all get a nasty serving while Gina and Venus get shining reflections.

Not to be outdone, Venus stands up and forgives Janet for a previous passing quip on her un-even relationship with Gina.

“I have a lot of respect for you, Janet, because you are a lot OLDER than all of us here,” Venus emphatically tells the table.

The gauntlet is well and truly thrown. Hell hath no fury like a housewife called “old.”

“Yeah, I’m older. Are you fatter than me? Are you dumber than me? Are you wearing a wig? What is your f^^king point?” Janet demands.

“It’s a stupid wig! Look like you’re wearing a hat! Stupid wig!” she continues.

“You’re an embarrassment. You’re a fake. Your whole life is a fake. You pretend to be something you’re not,” Janet can’t be stopped.

“Your whole thing trying to portray yourself as Lord and Lady is f^^king bulls^^t,” she finishes.

Venus’s reply is to shout non-sensically about her husband’s Lord status.

Sally pipes up and starts attacking Gina, and suddenly it’s every girl for her self.

The episode dramatically ends with Gina leaving the dinner and no resolution is in sight.

**Strap yourself in because next week it’s the reunion, and it looks like it’s set to be … tense.”
