Netflix have just wrapped filming on what’s bound to be the must-watch flick of the festive season.
This Christmas, High School Musical breakout star, Vanessa Hudgens and Nashville‘s Sam Palladio, will grace our screens in the royal Christmas movie, The Christmas Switch, a romantic comedy about a duchess and a commoner who decide to switch places.
“Did someone say a royal wedding???? That’s a wrap on THE CHRISTMAS SWITCH 🎄 coming to you this holiday season on @netflix ❤️❤️ so excited for you guys to see this one 😍🎉,” Vanessa captioned an Instagram snap of herself hugging her co-star, Sam.
In the photo, the actors are both dressed in royal garb, Vanessa in a wedding dress and glittering tiara, and Sam in a royal uniform replica.

Excitement is growing online for the binge-worthy flick.
Fans of Netflix’s 2017 royal Christmas film, A Christmas Prince — which is getting a sequel, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding at the end of the year — are delighted of the news of The Christmas Switch.
“Why are bad movies so fun to watch alone in bed with junk food,” commented a user on Twitter underneath Netflix’s announcement.
Another of Netflix’s so-bad-it’s-good films, A Christmas Prince, will be getting a sequel at the end of the year.
