Deanne – one half of the infamous ‘Double Ds,’ has decided that she likes the spot-light so much that she has reportedly signed on with Sydney talent agent Sean Anderson to keep her celebrity status going beyond the 15 minutes of fame brought by the reality show.
Dee and Darren have already extended their stay beyond a mere one season of Nine’s popular renovation show. After the shock final of the last season – The Block Glasshouse saw them walk away with a mere disappointing $10,000 on auction day, the couple were then invited back to compete again in this year’s Triple Threat series, in order that they could recoup some further winnings.
Darren apparently originally had to twist Dee’s arm to go on the show, but now it seems she’s grown to love the spotlight.
The Double Ds have certainly had a tough time of it this year, with Darren, 33, also having a shock brain tumour scare mid-filming this season.
Thankfully for the couple, it seemed their luck was changing after last night’s show, which saw them pick up a $10,000 prize after Josh and Charlotte were disqualified. The other couple had obtained the highest scores possible, but had failed to use their Jimmy Possum themed bed – an essential part of the challenge.
Darren Jolly says he appreciates everything he has in life after health scare
Hopefully for Dee and Darren, an exciting new career in show-business will ensure the couple have an exciting future to look forward to, regardless of the series outcome!
