Reduced to tears, labelled arrogant, rude and cheats, it’s fair to say it has been a hellish few weeks for The Block Australia contestants Ronnie and Georgia Calouras.
But it’s only set to get worse for the Perth couple with on-set sources revealing to Woman’s Day that the mounting pressure of the show is leading to cracks in their relationship.
“It’s very high stress on The Block, and even a strong couple like Ronnie and Georgia aren’t immune to the pressure,” confides a source.
“They’re arguing all the time, and things had even got so bad that they’ve had to give each other some space.”
Last week it certainly seemed like Georgia, 33, had enough of Ronnie, 41, with the mother-of-three physically pushing her husband away as he tried to console her.
“Stop saying we’re at the top, you sound like a d***head when you say that,” Georgia screamed at him.
“That’s why people don’t like us, you sound like an a***hole. Stop saying things like that because it puts pressure on us.”
It’s not the first time they’ve been caught having an explosive row.
And they’ve admitted to previous issues in their marriage, revealing they saw a counsellor in the early days of their relationship.
