It’s time to mark your calendars and prepare a comfy spot on couch because Channel Nine has just announced when The Block will return.
Now in its 15th season (!!) The Block will take on the mammoth challenge of renovating the neglected Oslo hotel in Melbourne’s St Kilda.
Longtime hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft will be back as five teams battle it out for the ultimate glory of winning The Block – as well as $100,000 in prize money and any profits made from their property at auction.
Joining Scotty and Shelley on the hit show once more will be site foremen Keith and Dan, and judges Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer.
So when exactly is the show set to hit the airwaves?
Channel Nine has slated August 4 as the date to watch, with the series kicking off from 7pm.
Five new teams are set to take on the most ambitious project in the show’s 15-season history! Yep, a whole new batch of Blockheads.
Among the newbies set to take on the transformation challenge are Queensland’s Tess, 28, and Luke, Western Australia’s El’ise, 33, and Matt, 39, Victoria’s Jesse, 29 and Mel, 31, New South Wales’ Mitch, 56, and Mark, 57, as well as Andy, 48, and Deb, 46.
And, in a shock twist, Australia’s pop princess Kylie Minogue will also make an appearance this season!
Scott Cam confirmed the surprising news to TV WEEK at the TV WEEK Logie Awards last month, revealing the show was able to arrange for her to pop in while she was in Melbourne on tour earlier this year.
“She’s an old friend of mine,” Scott said.
But don’t expect to see the former Neighbours starlet to pick up a shovel!
“C’mon, we’re not putting Kylie in a hard hat!” Scott laughed.
