It’s not often you see the three Block judges agree on everything, but they seem to have one common thought on who Sunday night’s Auction Day winners will be.
On an episode of The Block, judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker were asked by host Scott Cam whose house they believe will bring the most success this weekend.
While interior designer Shaynna believed the five houses (belonging to Jason and Sarah, Hannah and Clint, Ronnie and Georgia, Sticks and Wombat, and Josh and Elyse) were all really strong, she confessed her faves.
“I’m just going to say, Josh and Elyse. I just love the family environment they’ve created,” she said.
Neale couldn’t help but agree. “There is one couple that I think have created the ultimate dream home that is just right for now … and that would be Josh and Elyse,” he said.
Darren mentioned that controversial couple Jason and Sarah could do well at the auction, but ultimately, Josh and Elyse would come out on top.
“Jason and Sarah really came from behind, but unfortunately they’re gonna get pipped at the post by … Josh and Elyse,” he revealed.
The young Melbourne couple have dominated this series of the renovation reality show by winning six rooms throughout the competition.
Ronnie and Georgia have also won six rooms, so we know that Auction Day is going to be a tight race.
Ronnie, however, thinks that not all the luxury houses will sell.
Speaking to TV WEEK, he said: “Five houses selling on the same day… I’ve been keeping track of the Melbourne market and it seems to be going OK. But if you don’t have a nice house, it might not sell.”
“I hope everyone does well out of this,” he continued. “But this is real life, and if the buyers aren’t there, there’s nothing you can do about it.”
Good luck to all the contestants!
