The moment everyone has been waiting for finally arrived in last night’s Home And Away when the River Boys made their explosive return to Summer Bay.
Meanwhile, the community farewelled Kat Chapman (Pia Miller), and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) got to know the new girl in town, aka Sam Frost!
Get ready for a scorching summer; the drama is heating up!
Sam on screen
After months of hype surrounding Sam Frost’s arrival in Summer Bay, we couldn’t help but feel slightly deflated as her character, Jasmine Delaney, remained in a coma for most of the premiere week.
Thankfully, the former reality star woke and spoke last night when Jasmine emerged from her induced coma and hastily left the hospital.
Eventually, she is found wandering the town by Leah. But despite her efforts, Jasmine is on edge.
But what, or who, is she running from?
We do know one thing; we are excited to see more from Sam!
Goodbye to you
The tears were flowing thick and fast last night as the locals gathered at Kat’s funeral. Ash (George Mason) was the picture of a broken man as he walked down the aisle carrying a white coffin to represent his unborn baby.
Unable to lead to a tribute for his son, girlfriend Tori (Penny McNamee) rushed to his side.
“There’s another little life we’re mourning today,” she says. “And, I know how much his dad wanted to meet him.”
…And then everyone in Australia burst into tears. The TV WEEK team certainly did!
While it was certainly heartbreaking, it was nice to see a vulnerable side to Ash. His all-consuming anger of late has made him push away anyone who wants to help. Perhaps his grief has finally taken over and he can attempt to move on…
A dangerous ally
Well, I was wrong.
Halfway through the funeral service, Ash left the church on a mission. But what is he up to?
As it turns out, Ash has called in a favour with a dangerous new ally.
Fans of H&A thought they had seen the last of the infamous River Boys when Brax (Stephen Peacocke) left town. But last night, the tattoo-laden bad boys returned to Summer Bay.
That’s right fans; the River Boys are BACK!
This time, however, the troublesome gang are taking orders from a new leader.
With remarkably similar traits to his predecessor and the all-too-familiar ‘Blood and Sand’ tattoo on his back, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) strides across the sand to meet Ash.
Together, they plot to find and kill Robbo.
Oh, boy!
