In another explosive episode of The Bachelor Australia 2017 Sharlene Boguslavsky Mik finally got some time with the hunky Bachelor but it didn’t go quite to plan.
Yep, we were glued to our screens when Sharlene decided to confront Matty about his feelings for her. Unfortunately, she didn’t get the answer she was looking for and she decided to pack her bags.
But, are those wedding bells we hear?
Well, not for Sharlene, but she reveled to NW that she is already thinking about locations for Matty’s Wedding!
You and Matty parted ways on good terms and given you’re a wedding planner, would you plan Matty’s wedding to one of the girls?
Totally, totally! Yeah, absolutely, that would be great! Um, I have a feeling he’s gonna want something like Sydney Bay.
I’d love to plan a beach wedding or something with a marquee out near the water. Perhaps that could be good for him. I felt like a consultant while I was on the show.
That sounds perfect for Matty but what about the girls, do you have any ideas for them?
Honestly, I actually felt like I was just doing my job as a wedding planner and, like, thinking you know you’d look great in ivory linen and these kinds of flowers.
Well, it sounds like you might have landed the first Bachelor wedding gig?
You know what, that would be such a great opportunity and there’s no conflict.
There was no kissing and I never went on a date so technically there’s no relationship.
At the start it seemed as though you were really into Matty?
I think he’s wonderful and he’s very attractive but there was no romantic spark on his behalf, and if it’s not a two way street then there’s no potential.
So it wasn’t love at first sight?
I don’t believe in love at first sight, and I do need the time with somebody to develop those sort of feelings, which we didn’t end up having.
It was very brave to confront Matty and it must be frustrating to go through rose ceremonies if the feelings weren’t there.
Matty kind of came in and gave the speech about being genuine and there because wanted to keep the girls and that when he hands out a rose it means something.
That was when I was like, ‘okay, well I am here so he obviously must feel something’. But then it kind of got to a point where I was like ‘hang on I really feel kind of invisible.’
I didn’t spend any time with him, um, and it got to a point where I just thought, I’m just going to pull out I don’t want to be here!
So you had been thinking about it for a while?
It’s a tough environment and I just wanted to see if anything was going to eventuate from it, and that’s when I decided to go and have a chat about it.
How did it feel when Matty revealed that he didn’t think there was connection?
I was really hoping I would get an answer. I didn’t want the answer that he gave me because obviously I was sort of hoping for some reassurance.
I thought that would happen because I kept getting a rose every week but when he did say there wasn’t anything there or nothing was going to eventuate I was just sort of like ‘thanks!’
I was shocked, but at the same time I felt really grateful that he was upfront and it was just a lovely thing for Matty to do. It’s a hard thing to let someone down but it was great for him to be so upfront.
Tell us about the reaction to the overnight date with Elora Murger?
I think everybody was shocked and they were speculating but in the back of their minds – at least in the back of my mind I knew there’s no way that she’s going home – and there’s no way that he would sleep with her halfway through the season, I think just because he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would do that.
I think it was just something that happened probably to throw a spanner in the works. It’s not anything that I thought twice about.
Were there any girls who took it quite hard?
I definitely think that some of the girls didn’t take it too well. Laura, Florence and Cobie really struggled and even Tara.
Finally, which lucky lady do you think you will be planning a wedding for?
I always thought that we’d have a little dark horse out of the blue and I think it would be Elise. But, like, from watching it on-screen, I’d probably go with Tara!
