The trailer for season three of Stranger Things has FINALLY been released. Though it feels like we’ve been waiting for one million years, we’ve actually just been a waiting a – still lengthy – 510 days since season two premiered on Netflix.
The new season kicks off in the Summer of ’85, picking up one year on from the end of the previous season. The new trailer – which is so retro cool it hurts – has given fans a LOT to unpack.
It looks like Hopper and Joyce may finally become a couple (RIP Bob), Eleven and Max are the two BFFs we all want to be, there are terrifying new Demogorgons, Dad Steve™ is back and still hanging out with Dustin, and bad-boy Billy might be the “new Will” as he sports a terrifying upside-down-y looking diseased arm.
Hawkins looks as joyous as ever.
Speaking of Will, after two seasons of the poor boy being dragged in to the upside down and tormented by monsters, it’s high time we see #Justice4WillByers.
However, this image of him crying, while looking at a picture of his childhood pals, will haunt me until the series comes out and I know he’s okay. JUST PROTECT HIM, YOU GUYS!

Who is Maya Hawke?
Maya, 20, is the daughter of actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
Of course, this makes her the great-great-grandniece of playwright Tennessee Williams on her father’s side. It also makes her the granddaughter of high-fashion model Nena von Schlebrügge on her mother’s side.
Like her mother and grandmother, Maya began her career as a model, previously appearing in Vogue and shooting campaigns for AllSaints and Calvin Klein.
What have I seen Maya Hawke in before?
Maya made her screen debut in the BBC’s 2017 miniseries adaptation of Little Women, starring as Jo March.
She also has a role in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming flick Once Upon a Time in Hollywood alongside stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
What is Maya Hawke’s role in Stranger Things S3?
Maya has nabbed the role of Robin, an “alternative new girl” who has been described as “equal parts sharp and playful.”
She has a mundane day job at Scoop’s Ahoy ice cream shop in Star Court Mall with Steve Harrington, and she’s looking for a little excitement in her life. Robin gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers the dark secrets in Hawkins.
We caught our first glimpse of Robin in a teaser shared last year. The fake advertisement for the mall showed Robin and Steve promoting the ice cream parlour… with limited enthusiasm.
Will Robin and Steve share romantic nights closing up shop? Or will they just be friends? Will she be beloved like Nancy, or hated like Billy? Only time (105 days, to be exact) will tell… And we can’t WAIT to find out.
