She was only announced as Australia’s newest Bachelorette last week, but Sophie Monk is already being bombarded by men wanting a chance to win her heart.
As casting starts this weekend, a source tells The Daily Telegraph that producers have been “inundated” with applications.
And perhaps it’s got a little something to do with the fact the show’s producers have reportedly decided to widen the contestant age bracket to 25-45 – a first in Aussie Bachie history.
For the past two Bachelorette series, featuring Sam Frost and Georgia Love, the age spectrum was 23-35.
How excited we imagine Sophie is right now…
“They are looking at appealing to perhaps men who are more established, know what they are looking for, as well as single dads,” a source close to the show told News.com.au.
“But Sophie is absolutely open to a younger man as well… Age and type is not a limitation when it comes to finding love.”
Amen to that.

But it’s not just age that the former Bardot star isn’t fussy about.
“I’m looking for someone who’s loving, caring and funny,” the blonde beauty told OK! Magazine.
So what else is Sophie looking for in her boyfriend-to-be?
“I want someone who has a job and whose self-esteem is good,” she explained.
She also recently told The Project what she’s NOT looking for.
“A deal breaker would be, yeah, someone cocky,” [she admitted on the show this week. “I don’t want that.”
Take note, fellas!
