Emmy, who plays eldest sister Fiona Gallagher in the Showtime series, married her long-time love in a Synagogue in front of family and friends, as well as a few famous faces.

Emmy’s Shameless co-star William H. Macy was just one of the celebrities who attended the nuptials.

Robert Downey Jr, Christian Slater, Mr Robot star Rami Malek and Hilary Swank also watched the couple say ‘I do’.

The pair began dating in 2013 after Emmy starred in the film Comet, which was directed by Sam. They became engaged in August 2015 and the rest, as they say, is history!

The wedding, which was an intimate affair, seemed to be a fairly fuss-free event, with both the bride and groom appearing relaxed about the big day in the lead up.

“Weirdly, I feel like so many times in my life are about dressing up for a film premiere or for a fashion show, so this is the one kind of time in my life where I’m actually not that focused on details,” Emmy told E! only three months ago.

“I don’t really care what the dress looks like. I don’t really care what the plates look like. I don’t really care what the invitations look like. The only thing that’s really important to me is that we get married and there’s some kind of party.”

Emmy will soon return to filming for the eighth season of her hit TV show Shameless. The actress made headlines in December last year when she refused to sign on to season eight unless her salary matched that of co-star William H. Macy, after years of a pay discrepancy.

“I wanted to keep doing it, but I just wanted it to feel right,” said the actress at the time.
