From a troubled teen to a loveable larrikin, Hunter’s time in the Bay has been action-packed.

And in recent episodes, the uni student found himself in strife when he flirted with his lecturer, Christina (Jessica Clarke). After deciding to end their fling and quit uni, Hunter resolves to leave town.

He tells Leah (Ada Nicodemou) he’s off to Vietnam to live with his dad, Zac (Charlie Clausen).

“He wants a fresh start,” Scott, 25, says. “Nothing’s going right in his life, so making this move could really help.”

Scott cherishes his final scenes with Home and Away veteran Ray.

Like his alter ego, Scott is also embarking on an adventure. He’s heading to Los Angeles to try his luck in showbiz.

“I’m excited to go overseas and reinvent myself,” he says. “No-one knows what type of actor I am, so I can start [over] and hopefully get a run with new characters.”

Scott’s exit comes shortly after the departure of co-star Raechelle Banno (who played Olivia).

“Raechelle and I always thought we’d leave together, as our characters were so interwoven,” he says.

“But it was nice to have individual exits and let them stand on their own two feet.”

Hunter says his final goodbye to Leah.

For Scott, leaving the show that gave him his big break is bittersweet. And as fate would have it, his final scene was one of his most memorable.

“My last scene was with Alf [Ray Meagher] giving my character advice,” he says.

“It was so nice to spend those moments with Ray – the face of H&A. I’ll never forget it. Home And Away has been such a special period of my life.”

Home and Away airs Monday to Thursday at 7pm on Channel Seven.
