After much fanfare, former Studio 10 host Sarah Harris has FINALLY made her debt on The Project after a huge re-shuffling of talent following a mass exodus of former hosts.

Her first appearance on the panel came on Sunday night, and to no ones surprise, was received by love and adoration from across the nation, many praising the seasoned television veteran for how quickly she had stepped into the brand new role.

Posted across social media, viewers of the embattled news and current affairs show said that Sarah was ”born for the gig.”

”Great show Sarah! You are a good fit for @theprojecttv,’ one person wrote of the 41 year old new host.

”@SarahHarris loving you on @theprojecttv,” another.

Viewers of her first show also noted that Sarah didn’t act like it was her first time hosting the prime time gig.

”Awesome start on The Project, Sarah. You look really comfortable on the desk.”

”You were born for this gig. You are smashing it. Love you gurl,” one more added.

Famous friends were also quick to jump on into the comments of Sarah’s most recent Instagram post, Jess Rowe writing ”brilliant,” Beau Ryan saying Sarah ”killed it” and even The Project who cheekily commented ”Can you come back tonight? Let us know x”

Sarah will be joining the panel five nights a week and will share the desk with a rotating roster of new talent in the likes of Michael Hing and Sam Taunton and seasoned veterans like Hamish MacDonald and Georgie Tunny.

In a behind the scenes clip Sarah shared to her Instagram stories ahead of her big debut, her nervousness and excitement were palpable.

”It’s my first day, ah!” she said in the clip.

”I’m a little bit nervous but so excited. Obviously looking like a little bit of a hot mess, but I’m about to go to makeup.”

Sarah then changed from her casual floral dress into a $460 Reiss white tuxedo style dress and put on a full face of makeup before heading to the news desk.

”Almost there! We’re on set, on the desk, ready to go!” she said.

”See you soon!”
