Rodger Corser has sent fans into a frenzy by bringing his daughter Zipporah as his date to the TV WEEK Logie Awards!
The duo couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they posed for photos on the red carpet on Sunday night.
“Sharing the red carpet with my stunning eldest little girl. Look out for her tonight on stage holding the little statues,” Rodger captioned a photo along with the hashtag “dadgoals”.
Rodger brought his daughter along to the TV WEEK Logies.
(Image: TV WEEK)Zipporah, whose mother is singer Christine Anu, also had an important role to play on the night as she handed out the awards onstage.
Proud dad Rodger even took a moment to give her an onstage shout out!
Rodger also shared his excitement over Doctor Doctor being nominated for the Silver Logie for Most Popular Drama Program with TV WEEK.
“We’re so stoked that Doctor Doctor scraped in there to be nominated. It’s nice because we wrapped it up with our final season and we brought it to an end,” the Aussie star, who is also up for the Logie Award for Most Popular Actor, says.
“It’s really nice to go out on a high with some nominations.”
Doctor Doctor is nominated for the Silver Logie for Most Popular Drama Program.
(Image: Nine)Even if Rodger or Doctor Doctor doesn’t take home any awards, the 49-year-old says he’s just happy to be back at the TV WEEK Logie Awards!
“This is like our Christmas party! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve seen some people. We’re freelancers, so we work across different shows and you make really good friends. So events like this are a lot of fun,” he says.
And after a two-year Logies hiatus due to COVID, Rodger says being back on the red carpet takes some adjusting!
“I’m not used to it after the last couple of years hanging out in sweatpants. It’s fabulous to be here. It’s nice some of the fans came out and said hello,” he says.
Despite being a good chance to catch up with old co-stars and friends, Rodger says the Logies pay homage to the incredible Australian film and TV industry.
When asked why he thinks Aussies love locally produced television so much, he responds: “You’re always going to identify and recognise the stories that come from Australians.
“They’re going to draw from similar- and if not exactly the same – stories. That’s why its really, really important to keep our Australian content quotas clear and strong. We need to have our seat at the table.”
As for who he thinks will take out the Gold Logie, Rodger has his predictions.
“I think Hamish [Blake] is at short odds. You can’t go past Ray Meagher though. The Home and Away boat is a strong boat,” he laughs.
