Co-stars Jessica Marais and James Stewart have a steamy relationship in Packed To The Rafters, but their real-life romance is getting even hotter.
Blonde beauty Jessica Marais and her Packed To The Rafters co-star James Stewart have been a couple for only 18 months, but she’s already saying he would be a great father.
She’s hinting there’s every chance her romance with the 34-year-old actor will lead to marriage and motherhood – she’s even getting tips on how to bring up kids.
“I always badger Mum with questions because I’m getting to the age when I start to think a little bit more about having children,” says Jess, 25, who plays Rachel Rafter in Seven’s Logie-winning series.
“I’ve started thinking, ‘I wonder what that will be like?’ and how to get through it, and how not to put your own fears and your own failures on your children. It’s such a huge responsibility and I guess everyone just stumbles through and does the best that they can. “I suppose I’m lucky that [my film and TV roles] both explored those themes constantly, so I feel like I’m at peace with them,” she says.
Working with twins Ruby and Emily, who share the role of baby Ruby Rafter on the show, Jess has had a lot of time to get clucky. She says the whole cast are “consumed” with the delightful bubs. “I’m obsessed. I’m the cluckiest. I just love kids!” she confesses with a laugh.
