Production has started on season two of Doctor Doctor

We can’t wait to have Rodger Corser back on our screens.

We quickly fell in love with the roguish Hugh Knight (Rodger Corser) and his antics in season one of Doctor Doctor last year, and we’re thrilled to here production on season two is currently underway.

Season one was nominated for Best New Drama Program at the 2017 TV WEEK Logie Awards. Rodger Corser was nominated for the Gold Logie, Best Actor and Most Outstanding Actor. While his co-star Shalom Brune-Franklin was nominated for Best New Talent.

In season two of the series, Hugh is determined to live out his probation in peace. However, there’s little peace to be found in Whyhope. An election scandal, a kidney transplant and a wedding on the horizon will cause plenty of drama for the Knight family. But will these events bring them closer together, or tear them apart.

The key cast including Rodger Corser (Hugh), Nicole da Silva (Charlie), Steve Bisley (Jim), Ryan Johnson (Matt), Tina Bursill (Meryl), Hayley McElhinney (Penny), Matt Castley (Ajax), Chloe Bayliss (Hayley), Charles Wu (Ken) and Belinda Bromilow (Betty) will all be returning for the second season.

They’ll be joined by Angus McLaren (Packed to the Rafters), who plays the charismatic ex-army medic Dr. Toke. Brittany Clark who plays Mia, Whyhope’s straight-talking but beautiful new nurse will also be joining the line-up.

No doubt, Rodger and Nicole are excited to continue working together on season two.

“We’re great mates,” Rodger, 44, told TV WEEK earlier this year. “Nicole and I have a great friendship because of Rush. It’s nice to be able to work with her again in Doctor Doctor.”
