We were all primed to fall in love with these talented kids, but the unforseen might of Australian Ninja Warrior saw Channel Seven push pause on the project.
Enough with the endless promos – give us some more family-friendly fun and get the show rolling.
4. Language on TV
A recent Billy Connolly special on Channel Seven saw the legendary Scottish comedian frequently dropping the F-bomb.
The show went was screened at 7.30pm, so the language caught many by surprise.
Surely that sort of thing isn’t allowed, is it? Actually, it is.
In December 2015, the Australian Communication And Media Authority updated the Commercial Television Industry Code Of Practice to allow M-classified content to be shown from 7.30pm.
With regard to M-classification and language, the code states: “The use of coarse language is permitted, but aggressive or strong, coarse language should be infrequent overall.”
5. Top Of The Lake: China Girl – That’s Nicole?
She’s regarded as one of the most beautiful women in the world, but Oscar winner Nicole Kidman has had a serious make under for Top of the Lake: China Girl.
Wispy grey hair, aged skin and freckles render the 50-year-old almost unrecognisable.
