The docco is set to air in May and will be brought to life by Spike-TV, who have previously covered the lives of JKF Junior and Steve McQueen.

It’s believed The Dark Knight Rises inner circle will be interviewed for the TV special.

No exact names have been confirmed, however the Oscar winner was close friends with stars like Jake Gyllenhaal, Matt Damon and Christian Bale.

Last year Jake, who is the godfather to Heath’s daughter Matilda, spoke candidly about the tragic passing of his mate.

“Personally, it affected me in ways I can’t necessarily put in words or even would want to talk about publicly,” Jake told Entertainment Weekly.

“In terms of professionally, I think I was at an age where mortality was not always clear to me.”

Jake says he deeply misses his best friend Heath.

Before his death, he was engaged to actress Michelle Williams but they called off their romance in 2007.

In a recent interview with Porter Magazine, the actress admitted she still struggled with the fact her daughter didn’t have her dad around.

“In all honesty, for pretty much everything else, I feel like I’m a believer in not fighting circumstances, accepting where you are and where you’ve been.

“In pretty much all senses but one, I would be able to go totally down that line of thinking were it not for Matilda not having her dad,” she explained to Porter.

“You know, that’s just something that doesn’t… I mean, it just won’t ever be right.”

Matilda is growing up to be the spitting image of her late father, Heath.
