Dr Karl races to save Haz after he was hit by a car driven by his own girlfriend, Mackenzie. But when Haz shows little signs of life before ultimately collapsing, Mackenzie must face a sickening reality โ has she killed her boyfriend?
This week in Neighbours, Karl (Alan Fletcher) jumps into action and attempts to resuscitate Haz (Shiv Palekar). The cafe owner was accidentally struck when he was chasing down Wade (Stephen Phillips), a shady criminal from his past who was trying to evade the police. And Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) is in stunned disbelief once she realises what sheโs done.
โOnce Mackenzie reaches Haz and sees him on the ground, sheโs definitely scared heโs dead,โ Georgie, 23, tells TV WEEK. โSheโs feeling fear about the prospect of losing him โ especially given everyone sheโs already lost up to that point.โ

Prior to this, Mackenzie lost her husband, Hendrix (Ben Turland), after he underwent a lung transplant and his body rejected the new organ.
The pain she endured after losing Hendrix means she couldnโt bear it if someone else she loves were to die.
Though Haz and Mackenzie werenโt in a good place at the time of the crash, everything she has learned since about Hazโs criminal past and how he was actually helping the police to catch Wade has changed her feelings towards him โ and the accident has put everything into perspective.

โShe hasnโt necessarily forgiven him [for being involved with criminal Wade],โ Georgie says. โBut she knows Haz was working with the police to bring Wade to justice. Mackenzie would definitely try to protect Haz as best she could without compromising her integrity.โ
But if he dies, what will this mean for Mackenzie?
โIf Haz dies, I think it would break her,โ Georgie says. โThereโs no way she could recover from another loss โ there would be no coming back from that trauma.โ
