Ever since she left breakfast TV behind, Jessica Rowe has conjured up an empire out of her “Crap Housewife” schtick!
TV appearances, social media sponsorships and even cookbook deals have come thick and fast, thanks to the 53-year-old’s unapologetic and hilarious take on domestic life.
But could breakfast TV’s new reigning queen be about to take her homemaker crown?
In the past couple of years, popular Sunrise host Natalie Barr, 55, has been delighting fans online with her quick and easy recipes – from her “genius” tortillas and sausage roll hacks to her now-famous lasagne.
And thanks to her number-one breakfast program helping her show off her skills – she recently cooked a coronation quiche live in the studio to celebrate King Charles III’s big day.
We’re told book publishers are champing at the bit to sign Nat on to write her own cookbook, similar to Jess’ Everyday Not-So-Crap Family Meals, which was released earlier this year.
“It wouldn’t be a surprise if she’s already been approached by several publishers,” says an insider.
“With Nat’s reach and the huge appetite for books that concentrate on unpretentious home cooking, this could be massive!”
While the brekkie host is said to be “flattered” by the growing interest, she isn’t rushing to create her own recipe book and is “just having a blast doing her cooking videos for now”.
The popular duo have long been friends, after working for decades in media, with Nat even spotted supporting Jess at her cookbook launch in January this year, and our spy adds that they can see the pair “whipping something up together in the kitchen real soon” for their many fans online.
The big question is: who would be the head chef and who would be the sous chef?
