Another day, another new Netflix series coming to a screen near you!
Naomi Watts, 48, will play Jean Halloway, a therapist with a dark secret in the upcoming Netflix original drama Gypsy.
Illicit affairs, drama and intrigue – if you were a fan of Big Little Lies, we get the feeling Gypsy will be right up your alley.
At the start of the trailer, we hear her character recite, “I will always provide a safe and trusting haven for my patients. I will remain objective in my relationships. I will not violate the physical boundaries of the patient. And will always do no harm.”
It doesn’t take long to realise that Jean struggles to live up to her promises.
As her professional and personal relationships begin to blur, the rule book gets thrown out the window and Jean’s seemingly picturesque life begins to unravel very quickly.
The 10-part psychological thriller also stars Billy Crudup (Spotlight) as Jean’s husband Michael Halloway, Sophie Cookson (Kingsman) as Sydney, Lucy Boynton (Murder on the Orient Express) as Jean’s patient Allison, and Karl Glusman (Nocturnal Animals) and Jean’s patient Sam.
The series was written by Hollywood newcomer, Lisa Rubin and directed by Fifty Shades Of Grey’s Sam Taylor Johnsonas well as Victoria Mahoney and Coky Giedroyc.
Naomi Watts is also an executive producer on the series, working alongside Lisa Rubin, Sean Jablonski and Liza Chasin.
Naomi is also set to appear in the new series of Twin Peaks coming to Stan Australia on Monday, May 22. She is also starring in the films The Book Of Henry and The Glass Castle both set for release later this year.
All episodes of Gypsy will be available on Netflix for streaming from Friday, June 30.
