Going into the season eight of the veteran reality show, many thought love would be brewing between Kyle and Bek.
Who knew his co-star Tim would overtake him, after confirming he’s fallen for his competitor and former mortal enemy, Amy.
The new couple did nothing to hide their affection as they were caught enjoying a romantic date for two in Amy’s home state of Queensland last week.
Amy, whose partner on the show is her brother, “angry man” Tyson, couldn’t stop smiling as the pair walked side-by-side at Mt Coot-tha, Brisbane’s highest peak.
Despite donning sunnies and doing their best to go incognito, they struggled to keep their hands off each other – and at one point loved-up Amy couldn’t resist reaching out to give Tim a cheeky pat on the bum!
Sources say the couple – who battled it out on-screen for first place in Group One’s instant restaurant round – quickly went from enemies to lovers once the cameras stopped rolling.
They decided to hold off on taking their romance to the next level until after filming wrapped.
“It’s still fairly new, but we’re very happy,” Amy revealed in an interview recently. Ever the gentleman, 30-year-old Tim has remained coy.
“Amy’s really funny. We became really close on the show – both Amy and Tyson,” he said, adding, “She was a real stand-out. We’ve stayed in contact.”
While Amy, also 30, and Tim initially kept a lid on their budding romance, there’s one guy who’s been less than subtle.
“I can’t believe it hasn’t come out yet!” Group Two’s “seafood king” Josh, 25, laughed when the news broke.
“Tim has definitely fallen for another contestant.”
