It’s been 10 months since Winners & Losers has been on our screens and now it’s back and promising a whole lot of drama, reveals the show’s starlet Melanie Vallejo, 35, who plays Sophie Wong.
‘There’s plenty coming up,’ she reveals. ‘Not just for my character, who I hope will finally find some romantic happiness, but also with Frances [Virginia Gay] and her new baby George, who has completely transformed everything.’
Melanie says that the arrival of babies on set (George is played by twins) has been a huge turning point both on and off camera. ‘Frances having her baby has given the “aunties” something to think about, they’ve pretty much turned everyone completely goo-goo gaga, ‘says. ‘They are gorgeous.’
The brunette beauty admits the new additions are making her clucky and hopes she and husband of four years, actor Matt Kingston, will have a family of their own one day soon.
‘I would love to have kids,’ she says, ‘First off, though, after filming finishes I want to go somewhere warm. We’ve been filming in the Melbourne Winter, so first I’ll take a breather and then make plans’.
