The couples are feeling the pressure as they near the end of the experiment. In tonight’s episode of Married At First Sight Nadia aired her doubts about Anthony’s sincerity. If you missed all the tension, here are the six most awkward moments.
#1 Nadia is having doubts (we don’t blame her)
On their final date, Nadia raised her concerns over having to be the one to uproot her life and move to Sydney. Anthony was unable to see her point of view, insisting that moving is as simple as, “you pick up your stuff, you move somewhere else.” Gee, thanks for the clarity, Anthony.
When he slowly realised that Nadia may still actually be unsure about her feelings towards him he was quick to shut things down, deciding that continuing the conversation would only be “wasting breath”.
Anthony also admitted that watching back his wedding video was really awkward… We can only wonder how he’s found the experience of watching himself throughout the whole series…
#2 Are Andy and Vanessa on the same page?
Andy and Vanessa’s relationship seems pretty confusing, and that’s just from the outside. The focus has always been on Andy’s inability to open up, but what does Vanessa actually want? Because after tonight, it seems as if Andy is an open book. He hasn’t got any secrets up his sleeve. So if Vanessa is still looking for something else, I don’t think she’s going to find it here.
#3 Michelle just needs to leave already
I refuse to believe that there is a chance in hell of Jesse and Michelle working things out. Their romantic day out didn’t re-ignite the spark. Also, Jesse, can you please stop talking about the door, going through the door, finding the door or you’re only going to send Michelle through it faster and not in the direction you were hoping.
#4 HOW WILL SUSAN AND SEAN WORK IT OUT
Will Susan and Sean’s “lifestyle battle” (so dramatic) be an obstacle they simply can’t overcome? It seems pretty clear that Susan doesn’t want to move to Sean’s farm and we can’t really blame her. So how is this going to work? It’s a shame as these two are clearly the best matched couple on the show by far.
#5 Oh hey, Ray
There wasn’t really anything awkward about Simon and Alene’s date in tonight’s episode – they were actually pretty adorable to be honest. Things did get just a little weird when old mate Ray Thistlewaite of Thirsty Merc awkwardly serenaded them for a bit while the made out at a pub. But whatever floats your boats, guys.
#6 It’s time for the ‘L’ word
Can Sharon and Nick just say “I love you” already? It’s pretty obvious they both have strong feelings for each other. Just get it over with!
