Tonight’s episode of Married At First Sight felt a little less dramatic without Andrew and Cheryl around. The guys organised a final date to impress their wives. Some of them nailed it, some pretty much just failed (here’s looking at you Jesse).
#1 Simon and Alene are so in love!
It’s so great to see how the affection has grown between these two. Tonight they simply couldn’t keep their hands off one another. Simon’s date was simple, yet thoughtful. We REALLY hope these to stay together once the experiment ends.
#2 Sean and Susan are ultimate couple goals
Sean pulled out the big guns tonight, treating Susan to a hot air balloon ride. It’s clear that Susan and Sean love each other, but every time they replay the footage of Susan on the farm, and you can see how out of place she felt there, it just highlights the fact that there is a lot standing between these two and their chance for a happy-ever-after. At this stage it’s still too hard to call, things could go either way.
#3 Michelle is so not into Jesse
Deep down Michelle knows that she’s not in love with Jesse, and probably won’t ever be. Perhaps she made a mistake choosing to stay at last night’s commitment ceremony. Jesse was quick to pick up that she had started referring to him as “mate” on their date. With every day that passes Jesse seems to end up further and further into the friend zone.
#4 Is the dream over for Sharon and Nick?
Sharon had a bad dream about her and Nick and wigged out on their final date. The thought of doing long distance with Nick has her questioning the strength of their relationship. To be honest, they seem pretty solid and Sharon’s outburst felt a little like creating some drama for the sake of it. Nick has basically said ‘I love you’ in every way other than saying the actual words out loud…
#5 Vanessa and Andy take a dive
Andy took Vanessa sky diving for their date, even though he’s deathly afraid of heights. They both survived, however, we’re just not sure if these two have enough in common for their relationship to survive once the experiment comes to an end. Sure, they get along. But where’s the chemistry? The butterflies? The physical affection? Maybe it just doesn’t translate on screen. Or maybe it’s just not there at all…
