“On the farm stay, I thought we might be better off as friends,” Susan told Sean just hours before the weekly commitment ceremony.

“Maybe we’re not meant to be,” she added.

Susan questioned whether the pairs lifestyles were too different. Sean on the other hand, was keen to make it work.

“Susan makes me happy like no other woman has done so in a long time,” he said.

Asked about the status of their relationship, Susan dropped a bombshell.

“I feel like you can just be almost like my soulmate, like be in each other’s lives as support and completely love each other but not have to try to make one person give up everything that is their happiness,” Susan explained, before revealing the couple have agreed to just be friends

.

Despite this, the pair decided they would continue the experiment.

“I’m the happiest man alive,” Sean said.

Next up was Vanessa and Andy.

“I think we are both on the same page and can see the potential after the experiment,” Vanessa revealed. And after a short discussion with the experts, the couple also decided to stay.

“I’m very much enjoying my time here,” Vanessa continued. “It can only get better.”

The same can’t be said for Anthony and Nadia who have struggled to connect from the get-go.

“My biggest fear is being let down,” Anthony told the experts. “If I invest emotionally into this and it doesn’t work then I’m let down and I’m lonely.”

And when the topic of intimacy came up, Nadia was quick to shut it down.

“I think it just takes time,” she said. Regardless, they still chose to stay making it three couples out of three.

Next in the hot seat was Cheryl and Andrew. Asked whether the couple grew closer during the homestays, Andrew didn’t hold back.

“There wasn’t any positive energy and it got to the point where I had no idea if she was interested at all,” he told the room.

Meanwhile, Cheryl had a different take on it.

“I think there is a connection there but we are still learning the boundaries,” she explained. “I’m a very awkward person when it comes to affection.”

Despite questioning Cheryl’s motives, Andrew decided to stay. As did Cheryl.

Then it was on to Simon and Alene. Simon had us reaching for the tissues when talking about his late father and how much he wished he could have met Alene. Keen to see what the future holds, they also chose to stay.

For Nick and Sharon, things couldn’t be better. In fact, things are going so well that Sharon went as far as to admit she could be falling in love with Nick.

Unfortunately it’s not case for twin sister Michelle and Jesse. But the couple were still willing to give it a go and opted to stay.
