Anyone who watched last night’s ep of Married at First Sight knows it was ex-plosive – did you see poor Andrew roll into the dinner party solo?
His broken heart didn’t last for long, though, once Cheryl made her move.
Despite Andrew’s on-camera admission that he was keen on the Gold Coast model, he tells NW he wasn’t that into her – instead, he had eyes on someone else at the dinner table! Awkies.
“I probably wouldn’t approach Cheryl if [I saw her at a bar]. In the time I’ve spent with her she was quite straight-faced and didn’t really open up.”
“I need to meet someone and be able to open up and feel a click between us, and I think that comes from honesty, or quirks that you get from people when they’re vulnerable and light-hearted.”
And who does Andrew wish he was matched with instead? None other than one half of the identical twin set – he’ll take either!
Yep, the firefighter tells NW he’s known twins Michelle and Sharon for almost 10 years, and plays netball with them on a Tuesday night, and despite their long history as friends, he says he would have made a better match with one of them.
“I knew Shaz was going through the process of [auditioning for] something TV-related and that she couldn’t tell anybody. I didn’t know Mish was involved at that stage, and I didn’t know whether to talk to them about it coz I was going through the process, too,” he revealed.
“And then I came to the realisation that I might get matched with one of these girls. I decided to talk to them about it, and we decided to just let it roll and if we got matched together there could be worse things.”
“We did know, but it was going to be a surprise if we were matched.”
When we told him that we SO wish that had happened, he responded: “Same here.”
Nick and Jesse, you better watch out!
