It’s difficult trying to make a comeback on the big screen, especially when you’ve had as much negative press as Lindsay Lohan. But hey, we’ve got to commend a girl for trying!
The 30-year-old actress is hosting a new reality TV show called The Anti-Social Network – where she’ll take over the Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter accounts of a contestant for 24 hours.
“I’m back, b*tches!” LiLo declares in the show’s new trailer. “I love social media. I am social media. Everybody knows you should never leave your phone lying around, especially near me.”
Is that a threat Ms Lohan?
“So, I’ve decided I’m going to hijack your social media — your Instagram, your Snapchat, your Facebook, your Twitter, all of it — for 24 hours,” she adds. “If you can pull off three challenges, you’ll win some fabulous prizes.”
Sounds pretty good to us!
It’s no secret Linds has been dying to get back on the big screen, after expressing interest in creating a sequel to the 2004 hit film Mean Girls during a Facebook interview in December last year.
“I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2,” she said at the time. “I know that Tina Fey and [producer] Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy… I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it.”
Although her new reality show still hasn’t been picked up by a network just yet, we hope to see The Anti-Social Network grace our screens sometime soon and with any luck, feature Lindsay’s new accent.
We’ll have to wait and see. But in the meantime Linds, we wish you all the best for your big comeback!
